Youth Education Initiative

American Ancestors is developing a national family history curriculum that will introduce students to the concepts, benefits, and joy of family history research, thereby inspiring the next generation of family historians. This program will be tailored for numerous audiences that are diverse in terms of age and grade, (pre-K through high school,) socio-economic background, location, race, and ethnicity.

Your support of our youth education initiative helps with the development and delivery of many family history educational modules that can be shared with visiting school and youth groups at American Ancestors Research Center, online, or in the classroom. By bringing family history to schools, we are enriching the lives of young people, instilling in them a lifelong passion in genealogy and local history, and providing a sense of identity and belonging.
